New facebook fan page and lets see if I am better that that then blogging!!!

March 2010

This month has been a bit of a rollercoaster

Dotty became very ill very suddenly, she is on the mend but I have made the decision that she is too precious to push to do TREC this year.

So on that note with a place on the British team waiting, I have just bought a new horse. Details and photo to follow ...

Feb 2010

Dotty and I had a lovely time at the Bicton Trec and won the top score. We also had a good ride and enjoyed having Quest with us bouncing about!!!

The Demo on the 26th went very well, Sellie and Dotty were true to their characters and let me do lots of talking, I finished riding Dotty bareback and bridleless, walk, trot, canter and jumping! with the biggest smile on my face. Jobs don't get any better then that!

I have now been accredited as a Horse Agility Trainer - see page for details

I have also been awarded my Equine Touch practitioners diploma so as soon as the final bits of paperwork are sorted I will be out advertising!!!

Jan 2010

Well it is new year and I still have not been a good blog keeper!!!

So here are some of the highlights from Autumn 2009

I have taken Sellie on loan and have started competing a little more with him. He is showing great promise and has already had a few good outings. - 1st in a 3' class at the Grange, 1st in a 2'9 class at Cholwell, Clear over Southcott's 2'9 cross country course. We still have loads of work to do on our relationship and partnership but it is a really promising beginning.

Dotty is an angel as usual, we have won a top score TREC class, won the Parelli group Christmas obstacle course and the a 2'3 show jumping class at Cholwell.  We are busy working on our liberty and finesse and also her fitness for next years TREC season.

Gay has been making some huge improvement in his balance and posture thanks to Lucinda McAlpine's lessons and is really happy at home at the moment. He is also now a movie star as Jenny Rolfe completed her DVD and it is now available from her website www.spanishdressagehorses.com

Holly has come back to stay with me and is now hacking out quietly and going beautifully on the flat and won the veteran class at Cholwell's fun show last week.

I have had some lovely horses to play with too.
